Ver. 3.0.0 - Major Update Announcement (2026/2/28) - Leathercraft CAD

After three years of development, Leathercraft CAD has reached a major milestone with the release of version 3.0.0.
This update brings long-requested workflow improvements, new leathercraft features, and major refinements for both Windows and macOS users.

✨ Key New Features & Improvements

📏 Unit Switching (mm / inch)

You can now switch length units between millimeters and inches, making it easier to work with both metric and imperial leathercraft tools.

🪡 New Pricking Iron Sets

Several new pricking iron presets have been added, including inch-pitch stitching sets for international users.

🪟 Multi-Window Support (Mac included)

A new “Open New Window” option has been added to the File menu.
You can now open multiple windows and work on several projects simultaneously — now supported on macOS as well.

📋 Cross-Project Copy & Paste

Copy and paste between different projects is now supported, improving workflow when reusing parts and patterns.

📝 Memo Panel

A new free-form memo area has been added at the bottom of the screen for notes, measurements, or ideas while designing.

🧵 Leathercraft-Focused Enhancements

🧠 Improved Intersection Calculation

The intersection calculation algorithm has been refined for greater accuracy and stability.

🐄 Leather Simulator Improvements

  • Fixed an issue on macOS where leather images could appear stretched.
  • Leather textures can now be applied directly to selected closed shapes without converting them into filled objects first.
  • Added a right-click menu option to apply leather textures to selected shapes.

🪡 Stitch Simulator Enhancements

Added a right-click option to always enable the stitch simulator for selected stitch holes.

🛠 Stability & UI Fixes

  • Fixed layout issues in the DXF export settings screen.
  • Fixed a bug where parts of the XY ruler were not displayed correctly.
  • Fixed cases where auto-pricking could produce incomplete results.

Version 3.0.0 marks a major step forward for Leathercraft CAD.
