v4.1.1 is a feature release. The tracing-image workflow has been rebuilt around scanner and PDF import, and the release adds reworked print calibration, guide snapping while drawing, Magic Mouse support on Mac, and 12 bug fixes.

- Scan directly from a scanner — network scanners are detected automatically and the parts in the scan are cropped into separate tracing images (Windows/Mac, no driver)
- PDF vector import — PDF lines and curves become shapes directly; circles are restored as true circles

🚀 New Features & Enhancements
- [PDF] PDF lines and curves can now be imported directly as shapes (vector import). Circles are restored as true circles, duplicate lines are removed automatically, and an option sorts line styles into separate palettes
- [Tracing] Tracing images can now be scanned directly from a scanner (network scanners are detected automatically; same on Windows and Mac, no driver needed)
- [Tracing] Parts in a scanned or loaded image are detected automatically and can be cropped into separate tracing images (frames can also be drawn by hand)
- [Tracing] Reworked "Add tracing image": a file/scanner popup, a crop preview, automatic DPI from image metadata, a 50 mm scale bar, and two-point calibration with a ruler or business card to get real-world size
- [Tracing] When importing a PDF as a tracing image, multi-page PDFs can now be cropped page by page
- [Tracing] Added "Split into parts" to split an existing tracing image afterwards (undo with Ctrl+Z in tracing mode)
- [Tracing] Added mouse handles to scale and rotate tracing images (corners = scale, outer ring = rotate, Esc to cancel)
- [Tracing] Added "Extract outline", which turns the photo of a leather part into line and arc shapes (bonus feature; tilt correction, symmetry regularization, shadow removal, automatic repair after adding, and an option to extract automatically after cropping)
- [Leather Simulator] Leather catalog images can now be scanned directly from a scanner too
- [Print] Reworked print calibration: the calibration pattern is now 160 x 220 mm (100 x 100 mm also selectable), a 3-step flow (print, enter measurements, verification print), and a one-time prompt when printing on an uncalibrated printer
- [Snapping] Added guide snapping while drawing lines and Beziers: horizontal/vertical, angle steps relative to the connected shape's tangent, and X/Y alignment with other points. Green guide lines and the angle are shown, the angle step is selectable on the Line tab, and Ctrl temporarily releases it
- [Snapping] When a Bezier starts at the endpoint of an existing shape, the first control point now snaps onto the tangent extension for a smooth (G1) join. The 4th-point preview also shows the actual curve
- [Snapping] Shapes placed from the parts repository now snap on their bounding box (corners and edge midpoints)
- [Mac] Added a "Zoom with scroll" option for Magic Mouse users. Option+scroll temporarily swaps pan and zoom
- [Display] Added "Hide text" to hide only text while the leather simulator is on ("Hide construction lines" now keeps text visible)
- [Thread] Added "Hide selection highlight" to the thread dialog so colours can be compared without the highlight
- [Layer] Added "Move to new layer", "Duplicate to new layer" and "Duplicate to another layer" to the layer context menu
- [UI] Moved "Convert arc to Bezier" into the Bezier submenu of the context menu. Added "Split into parts" and "Extract outline" to the tracing image context menu
- [Display] The shape position/size palette is now placed so it does not cover the selected shapes
🐛 Bug Fixes
- [Mac] Fixed zooming with a Magic Mouse not working since v4.0
- [Startup] Fixed a several-second stall at startup ("Waiting for the printer...") when the default printer is a sleeping network printer
- [Beveling] Fixed nothing happening when beveling grouped lines: the reason is now shown and ungrouped lines are still processed. Also fixed the case where a leftover single-member group (after redrawing shapes) silently blocked beveling
- [Box Stitch Helper] Fixed holes added by "Convert to gusset" using the pricking iron and front/back currently selected in the toolbox instead of those of the original stitch line
- [Box Stitch Helper] Fixed some stitch holes (16 holes in an 8-way symmetric pattern) not being projected by the box stitch helper when they sit on a circle about 74 mm in diameter or larger (same root cause as the "Convert to gusset" fix in v4.0.1, which had missed this path)
- [Tracing] Fixed a tracing image going missing when a DPI change pushed its position beyond the range of the position fields
- [Tracing] Fixed a tracing image jumping by up to half a grid step on a plain click
- [Tracing] Fixed a double-click making the tracing image stick to the cursor with a move that could not be undone (over a shape on another layer, activating that layer now takes priority)
- [Drawing Check] Fixed proximity warnings against the source shapes appearing while a pasted copy is still following the cursor
- [Drawing] Fixed arcs with a very large radius appearing to have a gap of a few mm at an endpoint even though the endpoints are connected
- [Beveling] Fixed a tiny (0.0001 mm class) offset of the fillet centre at large coordinates
- [3D Pattern] Fixed wrapped, overlapping labels and the save button falling off-screen in the STL export dialog in English and other languages (bonus feature)
